Dear mrs. MacKenzie

Dear Christine MacKenzie

I wonder if you could help us - we are two Danish librarian students.

I was in the lucky position to be part of the Conference 'Elevations' in Aarhus, Denmark - earlier this year. And I watched your performance and slideshow, where you were talking about ' taking libraries to the next level.'

And among other things you talked about learning 2.0/23 activities in Australian. I specially remembered you for saying that doing such a thing could only be done - not by force - but by 'wakening the staffs interest'. And that 23 activities were so popular in your country, that nearly every Australian library have joined the 23 activities.

Now, me and my student colleague Christina, are doing a survey about the "learning environment" in Main Library for Aarhus, where they have been doing a similar education for all staff in the organisation. It ended the 21th of September.

There isn't many surveys yet about the experience with 23 activities in danish libraries. So now we are looking for some international experience with procedure in 23 activities and also about motivation and what can make the participants grow in this new way of learning. How do you cope with different kinds of levels in using a computer and knowing whats new in the internet? And how can you upgrade the participants experience of the community?

Do you have any results from your library - any written experience in doing the 23 activities, that we could have a look at? Or do you know where to look for such an evaluation from Australia?

We are very much looking forward to hear from you.

With kindly regards from
